The Journey:
The Journey:
Fábio Guerreiro is a Portuguese artist whose journey began in the world of graffiti at just 12 years old. After studying graphic arts, he made a radical decision: to leave everything behind and dedicate himself entirely to tattooing. His first contact with the craft was in 2010, completely self-taught, practicing alone at home with no mentors, no shortcuts, and no guarantees.
He quickly realized that tattooing and graffiti were vastly different worlds. While graffiti allows for error and correction, tattooing is unforgiving. This realization completely shifted his approach. Determined to evolve, he sought guidance at studios in his hometown of Albufeira, Portugal. At the time, the industry was still a closed, almost secretive world, and every door was slammed shut. This period briefly pushed him away from tattooing until he finally found a small shop where he was taught the basics over the course of two months.
But his ambition demanded more. Without access to structured education, Fábio decided to learn the only way possible: by observing, traveling, and absorbing knowledge directly from the source. He traveled to more than 15 countries, attended conventions, watched masters at work, and sat under the needle himself, believing that being the client was one of the most powerful ways to learn the craft.
By 2018, he noticed that "decent" tattoos were becoming common. The market was evolving, materials were better, and new artists were achieving acceptable results sooner. That was the moment he decided to step beyond. Instead of just focusing on technique, he shifted his entire focus to large-scale projects, studying anatomy, body flow, and composition to create pieces that worked as complete body suits rather than just isolated images.
This mastery of vision and large-scale composition began attracting international clients, who traveled from across the globe specifically to collect his extensive and cohesive works.
Alongside his career, Fábio has always taken pride in teaching. Since 2016, he has hosted group seminars, sharing his knowledge with ambitious artists and closely following their progress. In 2021, the opportunity arose to move to Los Angeles, California. Even from across the ocean, the demand from European artists wanting to learn from him continued to grow. This sparked the vision to reach further, to enter the homes of those hungry for evolution and offer the opportunities he never had back in 2010.
Awards, sponsorships, and global recognition are now chapters already written. Today, his mission is clear: to become one of the best tattoo mentors in the world. His goal is to inspire artists, raise industry standards, and be a part of the success stories of those who evolve through his guidance.
Currently living in Houston, Texas, Fábio remains an artist obsessed with better results, but above all, a mentor who shares everything he knows with the INKMENTORS community. No secrets. No shortcuts. No fluff. His focus is on leading a movement that proves it’s possible to conquer the world, dream big, and stand among the best of the best.
