Big Dave began his tattoo career in 2012 in an unexpected way. After getting a tattoo in Oxford, England, and feeling dissatisfied with the result, he realized he could do better himself. This moment sparked his decision to fully commit to the world of tattooing.

Shortly after, he secured an apprenticeship at a tattoo studio in Oxford, where he trained under experienced artists for approximately one year. He went on to work in England for nearly four years, developing his technical skills and artistic identity before returning to Portugal.

In 2017, Big Dave joined the team at True World Tattoo in Albufeira. There, he explored a wide range of tattoo styles until discovering his true passion: geometric and ornamental tattooing. Drawing has always been a central part of his life, and his early interest in graffiti strongly influenced his creative vision and desire to produce meaningful art.

Today, Big Dave channels his artistic expression through the human body, a process he finds deeply rewarding. Each project presents a new challenge, requiring focus, precision, and dedication, as no two pieces are ever the same.

Although he has received awards at several tattoo conventions, his greatest priority remains client satisfaction and the emotional connection people feel when they see his work. Looking ahead, Big Dave is committed to continuously refining his skills, expanding his knowledge, and evolving both as an artist and as an individual.
